On December 9, 2021, Taicang Winnoway Co., Ltd., a leading semiconductor components distributor focusing on the Asian-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary, Treading, has launched a Wi-Fi 6 high-speed network router solution based on the Qualcomm IPQ8074 chip. This solution can help users break through networking limitations and provide faster data transfer rates.

In terms of speed, the highest bandwidth of a Wi-Fi 6 router can reach 9.6Gbps, nearly a 40% increase in transmission speed compared to Wi-Fi 5. The IPQ8074 used in this solution is a highly integrated SoC designed for next-generation enterprise access points, operator gateways, and consumer-grade routers, providing maximum capacity, the broadest coverage, and optimal performance. The product integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 cores and a dual-core network accelerator, supporting 4X MU-MIMO on the 2.4GHz band and 8X MU-MIMO on the 5GHz band. This means that it can provide data transmission through 12 streams at once, easily exceeding 10Gbps, to ensure the best Wi-Fi performance for all types of applications.
